SUPPORTS INTENSITY SCALE (SIS)

The SIS is a structured interview that is designed to identify the supports a person with developmental disabilities needs to be successful in the world.  In 2005, the SIS was chosen as tool by DDD based on an analysis done by the Human Services Research Institute, an independent contractor hired by the state to analyze assessment tools the state could utilize to establish tiered funding rates tied to consumer support needs.
